Beginning Relief Block Printmaking- Instructor Rebecca McCartt
Ages: 16 and up Dates: July 2nd and July 3rd 1pm-4 pm
Learn to design,cut and print linoleum. Using Ez cut material to linoblocks ,the student can easily learn tricks to make printing on
paper , canvas and fabric fun. This class is for the person who has never done relief printing before. A kit with cutting tools, wood
blocks, Ez cut block and paper, ink and other materials will be furnished as part of the sessions.

Have you ever wondered what are gourds? What are they used for? This class teaches the basics to growing, curing, cleaning and
decorating your own gourds. Students will also participate in cleaning and painting their own birdhouse gourd. Techniques of wood
burning, engraving a gourd with a dremel tool and decoupage will be introduced using another gourd to use for practice. A kit with a
birdhouse gourd, practice gourd (varies in size), paint, cleaning tools, decorative papers, other tools will be furnished for sessions.

Collage and Altered Art for Beginners-Instructor Rebecca McCartt

Learn easy techniques to make your own Art Journal that you will fill with personal feelings, ideas and memories- in visual and
written forms. Various surface design of rubber stamping, inking, painting, embossing, collage and embellishments will be used.
The other project will be a 16"x20" or 11" x14" canvas using the altered art and mixed media techniques in the first project.
Expression of feelings and ideas of students’ works will be discussed through group discussion. A kit with a blank art journal,
canvas, various decorative papers, rubber stamps, inks, embossing powders, adhesives, writing tools and embellishment will be
furnished for the sessions.

Ages: 15 and up
Sculpture class covers the principles used in classical art including proportion and the structure of the human figure, portrait and
figurative details. Students will learn the many possibilities of expression through clay. This expression will be balanced with a solid
sense of volume and the human form.
Cost: 200.00 Plus 25.00 Supply fee (1 25lb bag of clay and firing)
