Here’s what our customers are saying about Wild Child Arts!

We have taken the oil, acrylic and watercolor painting classes at Wild Child Arts. We had no prior painting experience. The instructors were so knowledgeable that we have come home with many beautiful paintings and feel confident to continue to enhance our skills.

I am hooked on making fused glass jewelry after taking the class at Wild Child Arts. I can now make unique one of a kind gifts for family and friends as well as make something fun and fabulous for myself.

I just love the stained glass classes that I took at Wild Child Arts. Both Rose and Rozell were fabulous teachers. They helped me to design a stained glass window that is uniquely my design, not one out of a pattern book. It really opened up my thinking about art and design potential.

OK, I’m completely spoiled now. I love the classes available at Wild Child! I have taken several (glass slumping, stained glass, wheel throwing, encaustic), have watched other classes take place and they all have a common thread: the participants have a great time and leave with a masterpiece!

My grand children and I have attended classes at Wild Child and we have enjoyed every moment of them. I
participated in the children’s classes making clay mask and now our three mask proudly adorn a wall in the living room.

I took a water color class which I enjoyed very much and would like to take another.

The very best part is that Rosemarie and her staff are so much fun!!

There’s no place I’d rather be than Wild Child Arts!!

There is something elemental about working with clay. Museums are filled with clay pots and utensils dating back thousands of years ago. I like to imagine some future archaeologist holding one of my pots 10,000 years from now and wondering about the craftsman that produced it. Paul and Rose Handy and the family at Wild Child arts have not only helped me connect with my inner artist, but with the millennia as well. In a world full of mass produced junk , it’s very satisfying to hand someone a cup or bowl and say “I made that”. I don’t know when I’ve had better times or better friends. There’s no place I’d rather be than Wild Child Arts!!

I found many things when I began taking pottery lessons at Wild Child….. I found that I LOVE “playing in the mud” and that I’m pretty good at it! I found a form of therapy in working the clay and just BEING…..I found a whole new group of people who are now family to me, and share their lives with me, as I do with them. Most of all, I found myself again….. sounds hokey, but it’s true. That’s what art does for me, gets me back to myself. Love you Rose and Paul!!

Wild Child offers a “Try Clay” class. This was the first time I’d ever sat at a wheel; I was hooked. Paul is a wonderful instructor, patient, talented and with him there are “No mistakes, just happy accidents”! Classes through Wild Child allow you to explore your creative side in a nurturing environment and opens you to others with the same interests.

I started throwing pottery at Wild Child Arts in May 2010. I haven’t stopped throwing since. It is because of Wild Child that I have learned how to express myself through mud. I found the release that I needed.I found a group of people that I can look to and learn from. Yes, I learned how to throw, but wild child is so much more than that. It’s a place where expression is welcomed. It’s a community of some of the best people. It’s a love for art. Its a family.

Doing workshops at Wild Child Arts – fusing glass, trying pottery, acrylic painting – has given me the opportunity to try so many things I’ve always wondered about but never known how to try. Rose and Paul, and their many instructors, are so knowledgeable and helpful – I always feel supported and nurtured in my artistic pursuits!
