VISITING ARTIST WORKSHOP

THE TEAPOT FORM –
UTILITARIAN VS. MINIATURE            
Instructor: Fong Choo


May 22 – 23                        10am-5pm                           $250 for both days
Fong will explore and demonstrate in detail the teapot form with reference to the perspective of
proportions: from large to small and from whimsical to utilitarian. Glaze layering techniques
will be discussed as well as tool making and can handle demonstrations.


“FACE MUG” BUILDING $40.00
Dates:4/10                                 10am - noon

This class is a “rookie” level class and designed to be more about having fun and being
creative than learning technical pottery skills.  This class could be an alternative party theme
class for either adults or high school age participants.
Each participant will be issued a leather hard mug,@1 pound
of clay, china pieces and/or porcelain clay
Students will be issued a leather hard mug and given step by
step instructions as to how to build a face on the mug.
Creativity with each student is highly encouraged.
